With program locations throughout the area, IndianaMENTOR offers a range of residential services with supports tailored to theneeds of each individual as well as hourly support and respite servicesdesigned to allow each individual to be as independent as possible.
A Client Financial Specialist/Intake Coordinator will be responsible for maintainingand reporting of client financial transactions to ensure individual financesare managed effectively and appropriately, and that financial records aremaintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles andcompany guidelines. Also manages and accepts referrals, initiates appropriatecommunication with clinical and operations teams based on the needs of referred clients/individuals to facilitateappropriate placement and/or services.
Duties include; but are not limited to, the following:
Maintainsindividual (consumer) financial records including financial reports, bankstatements, budgets, and benefit reporting, and ensures that financial recordsare complete and accurate.
Conducts monthlyreviews and completes financial statements for individuals by request.
Ensures individualclient finances are managed effectively and appropriately.
Ensures individualtotal assets remain within the designated maximum amount to maintain Medicaidand other funding benefits.
Pays individualbills (e.g.: rent, electricity, water, gas, garbage, cable, co-pays on medicaland medication, etc) on or before assigned due dates.
Coordinatesfinancial services for new individuals and all individuals leaving services.
Completesapplication for, reports changes to, and coordinates benefit information foreach individual as necessary (Social Security Benefits, Public FinancialAssistance, Food Stamps, Rent Subsidy, etc). Sends paycheck earning informationto Social Security as needed.
Dispenses eachindividual's routine and personal expenses.
Administers thereferral process. Works with clinical and operations team to facilitate clientplacement and obtain appropriate services for clients.
Collects,verifies, records and processes client demographics, insurance /payment andreferral information
Inputs data andcompletes all placement paperwork. Identifies problems and resolvesissues preventing successful documentation/entry.
Secures fundinginformation and verifies funding/insurance coverage arrangements.
Completes allclient reporting requirements consistent with corporate and regulatorystandards
Serves as aresource to others in problem resolution. Applies knowledge and understandingof programs, policies, procedures and information to assist others in resolvingadministrative issues within scope of authority.
Assists withemergency coverage and crisis intervention support for all clients as needed
Performs otherrelated duties and activities as required.
