The Team Leader has the primary responsibility of achieving high employee engagement to create a distinctive patient experience and assure the provision of quality and safe services through team members within the assigned department. The team leader assures that employees are performing their work consistent with organizational expectations and policies and procedures.
Demonstrates the philosophy of the sponsoring religious congregations, through the SSM Health Mission, Values and tenets of integrated health care, while providing leadership and demonstrating innovation within the health care ministry.
Promotes teamwork by maintaining positive and productive intra and inter departmental relationships; and utilizes effective conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to assure alignment of the distinctive patient experience and provision of quality and safe care.

Demonstrates clinical competence in supporting the team members as evidenced by completing annual competency and providing clinical assistance as needed in care delivery.
Performs all other duties according to entity policies/procedures as assigned.
A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field isrequired.
Requirescurrent License Social Worker, License Professional Counselor or complete license within 6 months of hire.
A minimum of two years post-masters ofclinical experience in mental health setting isrequired. Previous work in community health, public sector, or with Medicare/Medicaid is highly preferred.
One year clinical leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to communicate with people in stressful situations, within small groups, and with other medical professionals.
High degree of problem solving required.
Ability to judge each situation independently and direct appropriately.
