Professional membership association and its foundation, both non-profits, seeking a proven leader to be the Executive Director to build on a 70-year record of success. The successful candidate will be an excellent manager, a consensus builder, a skillful communicator and collaborator, embracing of technology, and committed to maintaining a strong staffing team. Skills in understanding complex policy issues in the areas of mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse disorder are a must, along with the desire to work on legislative issues. Responsibilities including maintain a strong partnership with the boards, implementing policy, managing finances and personnel, promoting the profession, increasing membership, providing support to committees, and maintaining strong relationship with various partner organizations. Advanced computer skills required, including word-processing, database management, spreadsheet, web-based applications and internet research. Proficiency with Word, Access and Excel as well as QuickBooks is preferred. Experience with social media and other technology-based media are a plus, as are experience in healthcare, particularly behavioral health. College degree required. Salary competitive and commensurate with experience. Start date is mid-December, 2018.
