Just like the children we serve, Children's Hospital & Medical Center is growing quickly and hiring a full-time clinical child psychologist (generalist) for our Behavior Health department who shares our mission âœTo improve the life of every childâ
As a clinical child psychologist at Children's you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans, consultation, crisis intervention, coordination of care, and outpatient individual and group therapy. Psychologists may also supervise trainees and provide leadership and expertise in clinical development and outreach. Work collaboratively with others in the department and organization to increase access and quality of mental health services in the Omaha area.
Our Behavior Health department offers a wide range of outpatient services for children and youth; an eating disorders clinic, inpatient consultation, and specialty clinic services. Outpatient services are conducted in the main behavioral health location as well as in primary care offices in Nebraska and Iowa.
Conduct therapy with children, adolescents, and their families.
Provide on-call consultation at main hospital and emergency department on rotating schedule.
Provide supervision to community placement students and/or postdoctoral fellow, if interested.
Maintain client electronic medical records and billing in a timely fashion.
Completion of an APA-accredited program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology.
Completion of an APA accredited internship.
Candidates should be licensed or license-eligible in Nebraska.
Experience in treating patients across the pediatric (CBT) age span preferred.
Experience in primary care settings, PCIT, trauma, and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
